Jana Skelton-Scislowicz
Chief Operating Officer
Jana Skelton-Scislowicz is the Chief Operating Officer of Lafiya. She brings more than two decades of experience building and running the operational systems that make large-scale health and education programs work — from financing and staffing to data infrastructure and government partnership.
Jana developed her operational expertise through ground-level leadership in Cambodia and Tanzania, managing complex multi-stakeholder programs and strengthening the systems that sustain them. In Cambodia, her systems strengthening work focused on building institutional capacity and data infrastructure that outlast donor cycles. Over fifteen years at RTI International, she honed a discipline spanning program design, team leadership, financial oversight, and adaptive management across Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.
She is driven by a belief that rigorous operations and rigorous evidence belong together — and that last-mile delivery depends on both.
Jana holds an MA in Intercultural Service, Leadership, and Management from SIT Graduate Institute and a BA in French from Colorado College.
